Still in India many people are living without accommodation or live in raw house so government has launched many scheme for these people to get house at cheap rate but many people did not get the benefit of these schemes so many people are homeless
The main purpose of this scheme is to provide financial support for getting own house to the people belonging to Scheduled Castes who are homeless or have a raw mud house or have open plots.
Benefits :-
Under Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana government provide financial loan of Rs. 1,20,000/-, This amount given in three different installments by government, these three installments are as below
First installment : Rs. 40,000/-
Second installment : Rs. 60,000/-
Third installment : Rs. 20,000/-
Total amount is Rs. 1,20,000/-
Feature of Scheme :-
- Beneficiary or other family members of the beneficiary should not have availed the benefit of any other housing scheme implemented by the government.
- The complete construction of the house will not be completed with the help of amount received under Dr. Ambedkar Awas Yojana, So the beneficiary will have to compete the construction of the house by adding the remaining amount himself.
- Income limit for urban areas is Rs. 1,50,000/- annual and for rural area is Rs. 1,20,000/- Annual
- In rural areas, applicant can also get for 90 days unskilled employment of Rs. 16,900/- from Taluka Panchayat NREGA branch under Mahatma Gandhi NREGA (MNREGA) scheme besides Awas Yojana
- Applicant will be eligible for obtain Rs. 12,000/- for built toilet under Swachh Bharat Mission from Taluka Panchayat in rural and Municipal corporation in urban areas

- Aadhaar card of applicant
- Ration card of applicant
- Cast certificate
- Income certificate
- Address proof (one of Electricity bill/ Driving license/ Rent agreement/ Votar ID/ Ration card)
