As we know, In the world second most high population in India and most of the people in India is belong to middle class and poor background so many women can not afford costly maternity treatment during her pregnancy therefore no proper treatment and awareness so how these women birth healthy children so Indian pregnant woman get financial support during her pregnancy this scheme launched to provide this facility in her pregnancy days.
Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY) launched by Honourable Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and Ministry of Women and Child development in 2017. The main purpose of this scheme is a maternity benefits to pregnant women.
Benefits of PMMVY :-
Under this scheme pregnant woman will receive Rs.5,000 Direct in her Bank account, This amount given in installments,
First installment - Receive first installment of Rs.1,000 after registering pregnancy.
Second installment - a check up should be done at least once a before delivery to receive the second installment of Rs 2,000 (after six months of pregnancy)
Third installment - After the birth of child is registered beneficiary get Rs.2,000
Who can get benefits of PMMVY:-
- All pregnant women will get benefits of this scheme during their pregnancy and up to six months After birth of the child except those women who employee in Central government, state government or private sector are not eligible.
- All pregnant woman who gives birth after 1st January 2017 they will be eligible for this scheme.
- It is necessary to registration at centre to avail this scheme under PMMVY
Required documents for PMMVY :-
1. Aadhar card copy of husband and wife
2. Bank passbook copy with photo
3. Registered in Aanganwadi or Copy of Mamta card

Other information of PMMVY :-
- Each time the beneficiaries have to make a claim separately maximum three claim.
- Applicant is eligible to avail the benefit only once under this PMMVY
- If any reason a stillborn baby is born, the beneficiary will be eligible to receive the remaining installment benefits during future pregnancy.
- If the beneficiary has full filled the all conditions but required documents and filled form not submitted within 730 days of pregnancy after that his claim not accepted
